One Day Basic First Aid (Appointed Person)

Our one day basic first aid (appointed person) teaches the candidates the correct steps to take in dealing with a life-threatening emergency.

You will learn how to deal with a patient who is not breathing, has no heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, have serious bleeding or be suffering from shock.

You will also learn when and how to alert the emergency medical services, monitor the patients ABCD's and greatly improve their chances of survival until the emergency medical services arrive.

These are important skills, as, a patient's chances of survival diminish by 10% for every minute that CPR is delayed.

Ideal for Individuals and Businesses

This course is ideally suited for businesses who are in a low-risk sector and for individuals who would like to know how to deal with an emergency situation should it occur.

If you are a club or group who do not require an HSE approved certification, this is the course for you, as we can readily adapt it to suit your individual needs. All candidates who successfully complete this course receive certification from ourselves, which is valid for three years. But more importantly you will have the confidence to deal with an incident knowing that you have the skills to help others.

The course will include student manuals, DVD segments, discussion and plenty of hands on practice.
